After all that

Turned out to be just another day in Zihua with the path of Otis moving inland and north. We still had no internet but cell service was back as we started the new day. I falsely assumed that since I could access the web on my cell that the internet was back as well. No sirreee ... and it did not come back until as late as 4pm today.

We walked to Sori's to get some croutons to smash up for bread crumbs for the fish we had for dinner. Yum yum. We dip the filets in egg whites then a combination of pepper and crumbs before frying. We had broccoli, corn, and mushrooms as well as some leftover veggies alongside el pescado.

Tomorrow morning will be occupied until about 9:30am by a bridge game then we are off to centro looking for two things ... a cutting board with a groove around the outside to catch runoff from what we are carving then another guitar tuner for my new Epiphone.

One the internet came back, we watched some videos about the devastation in Acapulco. Some "high-ranking" government officials from Mexico City went to Acapulco today to see the horror that had unfolded. Dominique and I believe their visiting there does nothing ... nada. It takes the rescuers and police time away from rescuing people.

"Lo siento Señorita, necesitamos ayudar otras personas quien estan más importantes que ustedes y su familia. Volveremos para ayudar ustedes después hemos ayudado estos gentes. Quedan ustedes donde estan, y esperamos que esta situación esta tan comodo como posible."

Esperamos que dos toneladas de hormigón y barras de refuerzo no sean un inconveniente.

<< Ahora, en inglés ...
"Sorry Miss, we need to help other people who are more important than you and your family. We’ll be back to help you after we've helped these people. You remain where you are, and we hope this situation is as comfortable as possible."

We hope that two tons of concrete and rebar will not be an inconvenience.==>
