Dominique and I have decided not to go trick or treating tonight. I guess we wasted our time making the elaborate costumes. I was going to go as her and she as me. She played and I ran the bridge game this morning at 7am. We then went on a targeted walk downtown, with nowhere near the number of stops we plan for most times.
The balance of the day up until 3pm or so we will hang, with she doing some laundry. Off to the pool at 3. Spaghetti again for dinner tonight which fits in so well with her Mother's roots. Dominique has caught me a few times cutting my noodles. I once asked her if her Ma would have a problem with that and was told probably not.
Lynn came to the door yesterday just when Dominique was having her massgae. I shooed him away. As it turns out he was puzzling over how to do something with the Amazon TV stick and wanted advice. As it turns out, he figured out how to do it himself. Accolades to him and the person who introduced him to the stick last weekend. The secret to teaching somebody anything is to let them do some of the work themselves while you ae together AND not to get off on any tangents that just confuses them.
The setup for Days of the Dead is proceeding at a feverish pace at Plaza Kioto and the main beach. A parade starts from the plaza around 7 or 7:30 pm tomorrow. Apparently it is quite a sight, very popular with the locals. We will park ourselves by the basketball court at the main beach. We hope to find the hamburger guy to fill up our tummies before the parade (especially the young people participating) which will fill up our visual apparati.
Nice dinner with a cold broccoli/olive salad. With oil and balsamic vinegar it was a treat ... speaking of treats - have you met my lady Dominique? I will probably watch some of game 4 of the World Series while she watches House Hunters International on Discovery+. I have not bee in Mexico yet for the Days of the Dead festivities and Dominique tells me it is quite a show. There are probably a dozens of square kilometres of roadways in centro and I predict 150% of them will be littered with kiosks selling everything from churro to space shuttles. It will be a field day for these vendors what with the plethora of activities during the next few days.
