Nice start
... to a sunny day. Not sure what will end up going down the balance of the day, maybe a walk. There are three types of players that attend our online games ...
- Those who pester and pester me when they believe the score they have obtained on a board needs adjusting, then keep hounding me when they don't like my decision
- Those who politely ask me to have a look at their score on a board; I look and respond with my findings.
- Those who DEMAND I look at a board with something like Boars 8! For these people I am tempted to respond with either nothing or a comeback resembling Please have a look at Board 8 ... thanks!
Most of the packing I still have to do has to wait until the last minute ... lots of electronic crap naturally as well as wrapping some other stuff in plastic after a few dryer sheets. We will eat at home until Thursday evening then Friday at Rufo's and Saturday at Porteña with Paty and Hugo on Saturday. I just made the reservation for Saturday at 6pm. We will have to trick them so that we can pick up the tab. I will call Rufo's later and reserve for Friday at 6pm. Speaking of tricking someone ... Marilyn COonroy looked after our place when Patsy was in Mexico for three weeks in January. She adamantly refused any payment for assisting us so we will give her a gift certificate for Baggios Italian grill near us, reportedly one of her favourites.
We get to Montreal Sunday about 9:30pm. I will text Joe when we land then give him the pole number we exit the airport at. Best-case scenario we will have been through customs and have our bags by about 10:15. At that rate we should be back home by midnight or so. Between the three of us we have to remember to turn the main feed back on for the water that has been shut off most of the time we have been away. I may get him as well to remount the combination lock on the front door.
We finished off the leftover shrimp pasta dinned from a few nights ago. Tomorrow is ribs and Thursday is chicken thighs. That will be it for dinners at home. We will make some sammiches to take on the plane on Sunday. One of the leftover days we will go bid a farewell to Irving at Pepe Guitar on Cinco de Mayo. Besides everything else he has done for us, he did get us 1,000 pesos off the Epiphone electric I bought from Alfredo Moya in the fall. I out more of the electronic crap together for storage with more to come by late Saturday.
I will publish my last post to this blog on Saturday with the top 10 I know everyone has been waiting for. I will also send a heartfelt adios to Mrs, Calabash, wherever she is, on Jimmy's behalf.
