Party time

... except for a 74+ and a __+ year-old couple, that could mean staying up later than 8:30pm. It reminds me of When I'm 64 by the Beatles. There is a line in there that reads If I stay out 'til a quarter to 3, will you lock the door? I don't think so ... when one is 64, it's more likely If I stay out 'til 9:15, will you lock the door?

Donnie and Dianna are coming over for a swim mid-afternoon. We will then go to the main beach for beverages. We usually go to Arcadia but as of late, the noise there and its closest neighbouring bar has been increasing exponentially since we arrived. We went to Tata, next store, where we could hear ourselves again. One thing they are expert at doing in this town is creating noise.

The bridge club I work at is trying something new ... a regular game Thursdays at 12:30pm eastern. It has been quite some time, as far back as 2018, that we had any afternoon games at the club.

We are off to centro after the bridge game as Dominique needs some special medicine. I hope it's not birth control as we are both planning to start a family. Triplets preferred. The plan after our alcohol rant at Tata is to go to Porteña for a bite. She tried to call them for a reservation yesterday and the did not go well. She, as it appeared, ended up at some establishment whose number was listed as that restaurant, but was anything but.

The humidity seems to be breaking, but we will try our best to not get too excited. We are speaking with Hugo about how we can get our COVID shots here. It appears that the criteria we know of is its availability isn limited to citizens (batch) and temporary or permanent residents. We qualify under those circumstances so it should be interesting seeing if that is indeed the way it works.

The hangout at Tata was well attended. Lynn showed up last. After about 90 minutes, we trundled off to Porteña for dinner. Wand and John went elsewhere on their own. There is a room in the back at this café and apparently there were over 100 people occupying a handful of tables back there. Good for them. Dominique mentioned this joint has been open for some time, justifiably so ... great food/great service.

When we split from there, we stopped at Daniel's to hear Alfredo Moya tinkle away on his Fender Squire strat and, as always, it was very entertaining. We filled the tip jar and cabbed it home.

We watched an episode of 6 Feet Under and, just as I told Dominique, Rachel Griffith's character, Brenda, gets weirder as the show goes on.
