Based on some reading Dominique has done on some reputable medical websites (e.g., Mayo Clinic), she believes her problem is sciatica. The symptoms listed where she was reading point to exactly what she is going through. We probably walked too much yesterday, and the feeling in her leg and lower back may have prompted here to do her own research. The next few weeks will be spent with cold and hot packs on the lower back. I believe what synched the deal was something mentioned at the Mayo Clinic ...
Some people also have numbness, tingling or muscle weakness in the leg or foot. One part of the leg can be in pain, while another part can feel numb.
We were both up today by 8:30, though I rose just before 7. I putzed around the house and did my morning routine of puzzles ... Waffle then Wordle. I will tackle the third one, 7 Little Words, shortly. We will do some walking today since recommendations favour not avoidong physical activity, but simply keeping it up in moderation.
One of the many shows I watch on TV is called Mayday, recounting incidents in the aviation industry (aka, accidents). The most recent one was about one over the Mediterranean in 2016. The home country of the carrier did an investigation as did a conglomerate of other countries' air accident boards. Some six years later, when the episode was created, the host country still had not shared ANY information with outside organizations. I have seen this type of behaviour before, as we all have, being attributed to some BS similar to ... "We cannot say any more as it is an item related to national security." I have a place to put that sort of statement and the continual reliance on it by so many powers ... and YES, a lot of them what I call first world. Think of what happened in a country some 60 years ago on a sunny fall morning. I have been using this terminology, thinking it was how I refer to a "certain status" of a country. As it turns out, the expression was coined in 1952 to refer to
The term was originally used to describe mostly democratic/capitalist countries that were politically aligned with NATO and the hyugtuyh765$$ [expletive deleted].
I played bridge yesterday early evening at an online club run by people in the Mississauga/Oakville locations. I played with someone who asked me to play with him from the partnership desk. After someone asks another person to play, it is wise to have a short discussion on the methods they agree upon to use during the game. There are many ways to approach the way we play this game and it is wise to discuss when playing with someone the first time. So he invites me and I try to start a conversation with him and he is unavailable. The game starts and we were doing really well until about the 6th round when our having missed having this discussion started to lower a fabulous 63.2% to 37.3% by the end of the game. The mensch I am, at the end of the game I thanked this person for the game even though we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
