Wonderful Wednesday

Set a modern day record for this year ... woke up about 5:20am then back asleep alomist immediately until 7:10am. I need more of those type of nights. Dminique up about 8am and busied herself finishing off the prep for the ribs we are having for cena. Out for our standard walk by 10:10. Down Calle Adelita an down Playa Prncipal for coffee at Cafécito.

We are there for coffee and carrot cake at least twice but sometimes more a week. It is right on the water where the fishing boats park early in the morning to unload/sell their catch. They pick up speed as they approach shore and the boats slide up the beach. I am surprised they don't do any damage to the bottom of sus barcos. (their boats).

We then cut over to Cinco de Mayo and had a goodbye visit with Irving at Pepe guitar. I bought two sets of strings and he gifted me a third set ... very nice of him. We gave him a mickey of Oso Negro vodka for which he was grateful.

We walked down Morelos until it joined del Palmar. We stopped at the chicken BBQ place at Los Cocos and got a ⅔ of a chicken for lunch. It was great but te accompanying cole slaw was bitter and the rice was OK. Will do some more putzing today as we get close to D-day Sunday morning when we cab it to the airport about 5:15 for the 7:21am flight.

Mi chica claims she is almost done packing her big suitcase. I am in the same boat. We will put a sheet or something else on the couch in the L/R and move our suitcases there. What packing we still need to to can be done on that bed before it is put standing up while we are gone. We put the mattresses up for air circulation, believed to extend their life. We also leave the fans on low speed to help ensure any stale odours from the place's being unoccupied for six months cannot settle.

While visiting today with Irving he mentioned a bus line out of Zihua that we may be able to use if we end up moving to Chapala. We have two options when/if we do just that:

  1. Rent a place for 12 months and use for 5-6; this allows us to leave stuff there and not worry about storing it somewhere while we are in Canada
  2. Rent a place for 5-6 months, understanding that we need to make arrangements for storage of our stuff for the other 6-7 months
