3 in a row
That's right ... Thursday/Friday/Saturday have been dry in this predominantly rainy season. We walked a lot both days and paid the price as far as overheating. When this happens, you want to shower immediately. Stepping out of the shower and drying yourself off leads to an eerie feeling of wanting to take a shower. Not complaining ... just the way it is. I asked Dominique if this was the end of the rainy season and she said not ... just a break or, literally, the calm before the storm. Not a cloud in the sky.
First stop, when our post-bridge outing commences, will be the shop where we found some great umbrellas. What with the two of us dressed in bright yellow raincoats and umbrellas the size of mars, there will be no sneaking around the publo without being watched. While the guitar is getting new strings we will head up to the main beach and hang at our favourite (one of that is) coffeespots right by where the fishing boats come in.
Finished the pressing chores that we started Wednesday. New strings on guitar, new lenses ordered for additional frames brought down from Ottawa, umbrellas purchased, Cafecita visited by the main beach. Will finish off the day by my relaxing and Dominique's plans to relax which will turn into dashing around the house making work for herself. A swim is in order late afternoon which will probably lead to warmer water than our swim a few days ago. Rain is supposedly coming back tomorrow.
<== Ahora, en inglés ...
We find food prices and restaurants are more expensive than last year. Other things in stores are still cheaper than in Canada. ¡ We like that one! It’s very hot today and more people, especially children are at the beach near us.
We love the days in Zihua and are very happy that we can spend six months here this year. All the people here, except one man, are patient with us when speaking Spanish. At the computer store, which is near Leon restaurant, the owner told us something like "You don’t speak Spanish; you need more practice." Isn’t this what we’re in the middle of doing? As they say ... practice makes perfect, but for us practice makes better!==>
