Back on the road again

Dominique "returned to more normal" as the day wore on. She was careful with how quickly she walked and the stairs/slopes/dips she encountered. We met Tony and his taxi at the Bomberos (fire station) about 10am. Off to Ixtapa for Dominique to do some business at the Intercam bank. We were there for about 20 minutes then headed back to Zihua.

We are looking for a table (or some such apparatus) to replace the stand where the air fryer currently resides. Our first stop was the Kimberley furniture store where we bought a microfibre arm chair last year. The store had two candidate tables but they were too expensive.

Next stop was Aliza on the other side of the street a bit more towards Ixtapa. We saw three items there that interested us. Dominique has done business with these people in the past, thereby knowing they custom build as well as sell. Armed with the dimensions of what we are looking for, we narrowed our choice down to one piece.

Our requirements, outside of the proper dimensions, boiled down to it had to be perota wood ... immune to termites. We are getting a piece built there which fits our dimensions perfectly and will have to drawers and one shelf. The piece will be ready in 12-15 days so we shall see and the store will deliver.

The rest of the day we did nothing, where nothing is usually (for Dominique) described as she doing a lot of running arounf and me doing nothing. She was not as busy and frantic as she usually is due to her still experiencing some uncomfortableness in her lower back. We had leftovers for dinner and they were, as always, a big hit.

Hurricane Norma, or the dregs of her wind/rain may pass through Zihua and neighbouring hamlets overnight or maybe into tomorrow.

<== Ahora, en inglés ...
Tomorrow we hope to go to Arcadia for drinks around five, then the man "
that makes the burgers gorgeous." Dominique will call Wanda and John who might come with us. We stopped a bakery today at the market, looking for bread that isn’t made by Bimbo. We couldn’t find anything like the bread we like. While going from the market to our house, we see the Black Jaguar store open! Maybe we will go there tomorrow to order bread, the kind we like. ==>
