Bored meeting

The condo board meeting was not what it says in the title of this post. With an industrial strength property management company (especially Property Manager) it is amazing how much can be accomplished in a two hour meeting.

My girl fell on a slippery hill when we attempted to walk downtown to do a few errands. The pebbly border beside the paving stone walkway was slippery. We took a cab back to our place and put some ice on the area in her lower back affected. She also took a strong pain killer. Her mobility was compromised all evening and we kept changing the cold pack. She sat up and then lay down repeatedly. This morning she is a lot better and moving around as close to normal as possible. When she felt herself going down, she had the opportunity to try to turn a bit so she would not hit the pavement with her tailbone. She was partially successful and we both still wonder why we were reckless by trying the steep hill while it was raining. Initially she was upset, remembering a much more invasive fall she has a few years ago which even led to a wheelchair for a while.

There are so many things one ends up doing in life and, when something goes wrong, we tell ourselves we will never do that again! Unfortunately sometimes one gets complacent and gets "caught" doing exactly the same thing again.
