Itsicane expected

When I was in primary school, a riddle was circulating in the school yard ... Why are hurricanes named after women? ... answer ... they're hericanes not himicanes. In the midst of pretending to have broken down the gender barriers, we now name them after both. A hurricane is expected to hit Zihua later today and maybe through Wednesday. We even received a warning from the Environment Canada office, pretending to be so thorough.

Dominique finished bridge about 9:15 and we hung around for a while waiting for Hugo and Lynn to finish a meeting so we could go to Intercam bank in Ixtapa. We waited and waited and then some. Finally, I decided they must have gone without us. Noonish we headed out on our own and ran into them pulling into the parking lot on street level. They had forgotten we wanted to go with them.

We did the market and picked up a bevvy of veggies and a wee bit of fruit. We grabbed a cab home, asking the driver to wait for us so we could do the bank trip we missed in Ixtapa. The bank had a lot of people waiting but we were served within 15 minutes of arriving.

When back home, we finished the laundry after putting the stuff we bought in the market away. Tomorrow will start with a fabulous breakfast buffet Lynn told us about next store at Irma hotel. Then we are off to Sam's club. We may need a few things, but Lynn was curious if we were going soon as he has no membership card with him. They reside in Minnesota with Ranae.

Later today I will set my girl up with the Mac to watch Discovery+ and I will watch game 7 of the National League championship between Arizona and Philadelphia. I do not care who wins, I just like game 7 in any sport. Even though I supposedly do not care, I was hoping for Texas to win the American League pennant which they did.

The World Series starts Thursday and will supposedly be over by November 4. It's hot and humid again today. I asked Sigi if he knows why the surf is so high and the waves are encroaching higher on the beach than usual. He believes the storms at sea are responsible. It must be a massive amount of energy released/stirred up by these storms to affect the amount of a beach gets covered during high tide many many kilometres away. I still do not believe tides are caused by the moon and will not listen to any explanation of what causes them.
