On the road again
Back online running bridge games. A week Sunday with the time change in Ottawa, the games will start at 8am here rather than 7am. As if I am going to sleep any longer as I am sometimes up by 5:30am or earlier anyways. Hugo, aka our administrator, is still on his way/in Acapulco. He has lots of family there and is anxious about what may/may not have happened to them when Otis touched down on Wednesday.
We are headed out after the bridge game ... Doña Licha's first since I have been here 2+ weeks and no enchiladas yet. Then we are off to the covered market in search for a cutting board. Pepe guitar is next and who knows what else.
Dominique is still feeling a bit of the aftermath of the fall she had on wet pavement two weeks ago. She has decided to take Naproxen for a while as the soothing it offers for the small amount of pain she still has may allow healing to progress more. We have plans to meet Donnie and Diana at Arcade this afternoon and will do dinner with them. They like to go to Papa Loca for an all-dressed backed potato. I do not mind that location either, so works for me.
The surf is still higher than we are used to on Playa Madera. This will probably continue well into November what with the storms far out at sea. Water and the sea reminds me of a ditty by the Scorpions in the 80s called Can't Live Without You. For me this is reminiscent of how humankind relates to water. It is our best friend and at the same time our worst enemy. At 62½ pounds per cubic foot, no wonder.
