Playa La Ropa

Up at a reasonable hour as Dominique was off to church for a 9am mass. She went to the church in Plaza Kioto, the exact one where the entry doors were locked during the mass the one time she went last year. She did not go there again and toddled off to Ixtapa a few times during our stay. There was someone posted at the entryway and, even though the doors were locked, that person had a key and was opening the doors whenever someone needed to pass through. In my opinion that is not alright, though better than waiting for a nun to arrive with the key which was the case last year. What if something happened to that person and the door could not be opened immediately? There are so many decisions made in our ridiculous society following the it can't happen here approach. Very silly people making what could be a life or death decision.

Once she was back, we headed out for a walk to La Ropa and back. We navigated the steep hill and were on the beach within 20 minutes. The waves were lapping much further up the sand than we were used to. The walk to Rossy's restaurant was about 20 minutes. We sat on their upper deck and had a beverage and a small snack. Then the walk back was about 30 minutes including the tough walk back up the steep hill. It was a treat, as always.

The mercury with humdidity is supposedly 40˚ in the shade so we were glad to be back. Cooking a whole chicken for dinner which will probably last us a number of meals. Not much else planned for today.

After bridge in the morning we are off to Bodega Aurora for some supplies. Following a network of web addresses given us last Wednesday at immigration (INM), ends up on a site that is unusable for me. The site simply displays a warning in Spanish and I cannot login using the username and password I was given. Should be interesting what goes down at INM. We decided it was worth checking in case that site is one I may need to use in the future ...

Dinner turned out great. The boid was a lot bigger than we thought and, as usual, the air fryer did a nice job on it. Dominique did her fam jam at 5pm with brother David and Gail/Michael, the perennial attendees.
