Those lazy hazy crazy days

Not much going on today. Dominique played bridge and scored in the high forties as a percentage. She and Patsy have a habit of doing that lately, a good thing. We had one small errand to run today so walked down to the pharmacy in centro to get some meds, then cabbed back. We are always careful to not walk mid to late afternoon due to the excessive heat.

Dominique had a Kau Kan condo board meeting at 6:30 which she says went well. Paul showed up at our door and ended up sitting with her for the balance of the meeting. I had a chat with Nancy from the Ottawa condo about the changes the board is to present to the rules in the resident handbook about parking. Parking is like driving ... many (most?) people become self-centred pr___s and do whatever they want behind the wheel with close to no consideration of anyone else.

First thing tomorrow we have to do the clean before the clean. We need to put away items sitting on horizontal surfaces to be out of the way as Juanita cleans the pad. What we usually have disbursed throughout the condo is day-to-day paraphernalia. Reminds me of something George Carlin said ...

Your stuff is sh_t and my sh_t is stuff.

The rain has been close to non-existent for a number of days. There was some rumbling in the sky and 15 minutes of downpour early evening today and that was that. Dominique does not believe we are at the end of the rainy season, based on past years' experiences.

Ooh what a lucky man

As so eloquently put by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in their 1970s song. I have been lucky so many times in my 74+ years on this planet. Melt the seal ... time is here

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture.
