My baby's BACK

We were out of the house pretty early for some errands again. Dominique mentioned that one of the cab drivers at the stand outside our place mentioned we must do a lot of walking. He could not be more right. We stopped at one of our favourite spots for breakfast, she having a soup and me a breakfast club. Their club is a normal size not one of those gigantic offerings at home that can feed two or more people.

We walked to Soriana from Leon restaurant for some balsamic vinegar and picked up a few other things while there. We ran into Karen, someone Dominique has known for some time. She told us the self checkout area at the store was hatched partially as a result of the store not being able to find enough cashiers. Sounds like the shortage of workers there are in some sectors at home.

The walk to market was great, as usual, and I commented to Domi how every walk to and from Soris seems shorter each time. We used the canal path to go to Jaguar Negra to order or buy some bread. They had what we were looking for in stock so picked up a loaf of sourdough and a multigrain. We inquired about some croissants to serve with dinner Sunday when Lynn arrives from Minnesota. We were not impressed with the price of this pastry, but bought four anyways ... the one and only time we will buy anything there other than bread.

Back home, we hung for a few hours and then headed off to Arcadia for the standard quaffing of a few ales, red wine, and a few glasses of ice. We met Wanda and John there and the conversation was dynamic, covering a wide assortment of topics.

About 90 minutes later we headed off for dinner a 15 minute walk away. The place was somewhere John and Wanda were fond of and it did not disappoint. I had red chicken enchiladas, and the rest of the gang had fish tacos. Dominique's second taco became tomorrow's breakfast. THhs happens a lot with my girlie and what I refer to as her pea tummy. I wish mine had the capacity of hers.

Entonces, fuemos a nuestra casa. ¡Fue una buena tarde por todos!

<== Ahora, en inglés ...
After dinner, we walked on Adelita Street. We stopped Rufo’s and enjoyed the music of Alfredo Moya. We meet this man, having seen him many times round Zihua. We bought the dinners which are happening on November 23 on Thanksgiving. Then we went home. It was a good evening for everyone! ==>
