Another morning ritual
Lynn, a few days ago, mentioned a word game that he and his daughter Ashley do every day, getting in touch with one another to gloat about who finishes it first. I checked out the game, called Waffle, and it is my cup of tea. There is an app as well to the game available online. It is a real challenge, but enjoyable for this gringo.
Hung around most of the day doing this and that. I tasted one of the tamales we bought last night on calle Adelita during the Days of the Dead festivities. Yummy. Donnie and Diana arrived about 3pm for the swim they both, especially Diana, enjoy so much. The piece of furniture that is being replaced will arrive today, supposedly in about 45 minutes. After that delivery has been sorted out, we will head out to Arcadia for the traditional alcoholic voyage then off to see the hamburger guy. After that, the four of us, or maybe five if Lynn joins us, will stay and check out the Friday evening event for Days of the Dead.
Turned out that the event at the main beach had not materialized yet so we cabbed it home. Unable to find one at the usual location, we walked up to the main drag and found one there. Back home we did not open the place up, simply hid in the air conditioned bedroom watching the telly.
The table arrived on time and setting it up (i.e., what goes where) will keep Dominique occupied for some time tomorrow. As per the usual modus operandi, she will fill the shelf and drawers then spend days rearranging. I expect the final setup to be done and approved by March.
