Back on the road again

Usual 8am bridge game and a lot of tables. The counts have been increasing sporadically probably partially due to the weather in Ottawa. Not long after the game ended, we went up to Lynn's prior to going into centro to find some weatherstripping for the attempt to seal the sliding doors from the smallest of pests. He showed us how some protection existed at their place and we then toddled off to the first of two stores we wanted to visit.

The first one was closed, so we toddled off around the corner and found the other establishment. They, at first, did not even seem to know what it was we were looking for even though I gave someone there teh Spanish translation for weatherstripping. The person there gave us some advice including checking at Soriiana. Ya right ... I think he just wanted to get rid of us.

We then walked to centro to visit the big hardware store. We stopped at Cuatro Café for an expensive but tasty bite. Then off the the hardware location. They had only one kind, the ¼ inch foam adhesive type. We decided that was that and cabbed it home.

We hung around for a bit once home then hit the pool around 3 to hang with Lynn. 30 minutes later, back home and treated ourselves to yet another of Dominique's award winning pasta event. I am sitting around waiting to se eif I get a chance to play in an online bridge game that starts at 6:30 our time. Dominique is watching House Hunters International using my Mac.

We bought some masking tape as we passed through centro today. I wanted to put some on the neck of my electric guitar and post the fret numbers there to assist my memorizing the fretboard. I know I have to know that fretboard cold if I ever want to figure out how to solo or improvise on the Epi.

The person I played with last week at this 6:30 game is unavailable this week so we will probably play together next week.

Ooh what a lucky man

As so eloquently put by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in their 1970s song. I have been lucky so many times in my 74+ years on this planet. Melt the seal ... time is here

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture.
