Mr. Fixit
The superintendent here's name is Sigi. He is a young man probably not much (if any) into his 30s. He is keen to please and very thorough at what he does. Sometimes we ask him to do a quick fix in our condo and there does not seem to be anything he cannot handle. He has done many things for us over the years.
The item reported yesterday where one of the glass doors to the balcony was not allowing the screen door to clear as its handle was in the way. Sigi came up with the material to do the fix and we will also do it on the other glass door. The screen now clears the bolt that was installed to replace the inside handle allows the screen door to clear except at its very outside edge which rubs marginally. Sigi mentioned yesterday that he would grind the head of the bolt to permit 100% clearance.
And by the by ... some owners of condo units take objection to the super doing work for other owners during their workday. They believe the super's workday should be COMPLETELY tied up with tasks common to all the owners. Here comes the rub ...
But when those complainers ask the super to do something for them, that's not a problem ... oh my!
Dominique was noticeably better this morning and her waddling has turned more into a standard gate over the past few days. She had a two hour massage yesterday afternoon and is slated for two more over the next two weeks. Lynn mentioned a practitioner type in Zihua that is a cross between a masseuse and a chiropractor (my vernacular). Dominique will check this out with Hugo and see what may be available.
