Not quite
... Friday yet, but we are off to centro in a bit to do a few errands. Dominique was off about 8:45am to have breakfast with Lynn at Doña Liche, then going to Sam's for supplies. When the cleaner comes, we will head downtown. One of the stops is at Pepe guitar store. A tuner I bought there when I got the electric guitar is not working. I replaced the battery but still no go. It does strings 1-5 perfectly, most of the time, but the needle sits at the bottom left when trying to do the low E string.
We will stop on the way down to Arcadia tomorrow to confirm the Thanksgiving dinner we signed up for at Rufo's indeed starts at 6:30pm next Thursday. We have heard his people put on quite a spread with all the anticipated fixings. We imagine alcohol is on top of the 390 pesos each for the dinner itself.
We had a nice jaunt downtown AND mi mamita walked down the soft hill. Her pace is close to being back to normal as well as the stride close to matching mine. She recuperated and took advice from professional masseuse/chiropractor, deliberately not consulting a doctor. When she had a fall a few years ago the doctor she saw had her wearing a middle body front and back brace to stabilize the back. When she mentioned this in passing to her doctor in Ottawa, the doctor was flabbergasted as this type of treatment was phased out of the arsenal of local doctors many many years ago.
<== Ahora, en inglés ...
We went to the Pepe shop so that we could speak with Irving about a tuner that does not work well. He tested the tuner on a guitar in his shop and it worked perfectly. We will try again at home. If it still doesn’t work here, I will start using what Dominique used on her guitar a few years ago. ==>
