Not much to do or what we wanted to do today. We stuck pretty close to home. Dominique is still convinced the humidity is down and praying ot stays that way. We will not come down as early next fall as we did this year. My first year temporary resident visa needs to be renewed in Mexico no later than November 9 2024. We are speaking about coming down about October 21 through Mexico City. Outside of our spending lots to spend the night in Mexico City, the trip was great. The lineups in Montreal were not great BUT we survived.

About 6:15 I checked on what may be available to play bridge online at that time. I stumbled across an MOBridge game starting at 6:30 that I was eligible to play in. I sat on the partnership desk for a while until the game started. Just before it started, the director pinged me suggesting I as klauzon to play with me. I thought to myself ... why would I pay $5 to play when I would get called into the game as a substitute and play no charge?

The game started and I was asked to be a substitute. We did really well and ended up with a score just over 58%, not a commo occurrence for me. I will look up this player tomorrow to see if he has nany interest in playing with me again.

We watched another episode of 6 Feet Under, and I now call it the Weirdo Palace and some of the characters get more odd as the show progresses. That Robert DrNiro, Ed Norton, and Marlon Brando movie I watched recently (The Score) was quite something. It was filmed in 2002 not long before Brando passed away.

Ooh what a lucky man

As so eloquently put by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in their 1970s song. I have been lucky so many times in my 74+ years on this planet. Melt the seal ... time is here

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture.
