Gullible client non-support

Yet another unrewarding experience with the title of this post. These vendors believe they do a fine job supporting their clients. If they only knew. They do anything BUT. This time it was Spotify. I am going to speak to CTV to see if they would be interested in my hosting a new game show called And you are? where contestants pretend to be agents in support on the website of a vendor. The moderator asks them easy/concise questions and the audience votes on how ridiculous and non-informative each contestant's answer is. The BS scale is rated and the winning contestant gets the pleasure of NOTHING which is just what these "customer support" organizations give out.

Tomorrow is the fourth of four days in the calendar year where I head off to about a half dozen news sites to see what sort of coverage (if any) they have the on anniversaries of:

  1. Dec 6 (1989) ... a women's school in Montreal where 14 women were killed
  2. Aug 6 (1945) ... they just HAD to use that bomb ... after all, what could was all that $$ spend on it if it is never used?
  3. Nov 22 (1963) ... murder of JFK
  4. Sep 11 (2001) ... WTC and Pentagon
Number 1
There has been sporadic coverage/mention of this date in the media, and many times the name of the f_____g perpetrator is mentioned NOT the victims. Wikipedia in particular, features the name of the idiot many times in their article.

  1. Geneviève Bergeron (born 1968), civil engineering student
  2. Hélène Colgan (born 1966), mechanical engineering student
  3. Nathalie Croteau (born 1966), mechanical engineering student
  4. Barbara Daigneault (born 1967), mechanical engineering student
  5. Anne-Marie Edward (born 1968), chemical engineering student
  6. Maud Haviernick (born 1960), materials engineering student
  7. Maryse Laganière (born 1964), budget clerk in the École Polytechnique's finance department
  8. Maryse Leclair (born 1966), materials engineering student
  9. Anne-Marie Lemay (born 1967), mechanical engineering student
  10. Sonia Pelletier (born 1961), mechanical engineering student
  11. Michèle Richard (born 1968), materials engineering student
  12. Annie St-Arneault (born 1966), mechanical engineering student
  13. Annie Turcotte (born 1969), materials engineering student
  14. Barbara Klucznik-Widajewicz (born 1958), nursing student

Number 2
Some coverage but, depending on the source, the slant of the report on the day in history varies a lot.

Number 3
Every year there is less and less coverage ... the adage We will never forget ... ya right, and not just in the USA.

Number 4
Mention in the media dwindles every year. They still seem to insist on naming the perpetrators. Where is the list of the 2000+ people murdered?

Lynn dropped in to return the medicine bottle (aka chicken soup container) that we delivered yesterday. He is having "tummy issues" so my Yiddisheh Mama (aka Dominique) cooked up yesterday. Our trip to Ixtapa has been delayed but we will be off to the bank there in due course.

I am working away feverishly on learning the notes on the guitar fretboard. I have so many shortcuts at my disposal, just need to hunker down and spend the necessary time on the task. There are so many patterns at my disposal that I have gleaned from an assortment of web sites. This diagram is, for me, the most efficient (but the gringo has to take the time to use it for what it's worth!):

The magic of this pattern is the doors that open related to the frets that are not in the image. These 24 notes are a shoe horn into the "missing" notes. Looking at the diagram, then:
  • Fret 12 on string 6 has to be E (three semitones above C#)
  • Fret 10 on string 3 becomes F (one semitone above E)
  • Fret 13 on string 6 becomes F (four semitones above C#) [actually becomes E# which we all know is really F]
