Post Xmas

The day started 8ish for Dominique and a bit earlier for me. We did a whole lot of nothing until Juanita showed up just before 11 to clean the hacienda. We ran into Lynn and Ranae on our way out of the building and Dominique caught up on a few pressing matters with her. I started walking and we met in Kioto square.

We walked through the market and picked up some supplies. The broccoli in particular was huge and fresh as always. We have cooked green beans twice now recently and the are not as finicky as they can be in Ottawa. We believe the main contributor to that is their freshness. Most of the stuff in mercado was picked yesterday or early today.

We walked next to the large hardware store and bought an 80cm plastic pipe to support the music stand when I am standing up. My posture, after 74+ years, could be better, so standing to play/practice is better for me. When I use the Epiphone electric. the wireless transmitter I use plugs in on the bottom side of the body which is awkward when sitting.

We stopped at Zihua Bay for lunch then cabbed home. Only plans I believe for the balance of the day is happy hour she will have with Ranae usually at 4:30.

Watched The Iron Lady movie and quite enjoyed it. The biggest question about what we saw was, while showing her post-prime minister days, was that really Meryl Streep!! The whole thing was intriguing and we saw a number of familiar faces probably due to the plethora of shows we have watched from English television over the years.
