The red carpet

Has been cleaned in preparation for the arrival of Patsy and Bernie. I believe Dominique has a plan to ensure someone is there at their building to let them into the complex. Many times as we pass Ceba Suites we find people with luggage standing outside looking bewildered as nobody showed to let them in. A perfect example of how quick some are to take $$ fromc clients without living up to the expectations on them such as meeting people as they arrive.

Speaking of the ease with which companies take money ... I had a fraudulent charge on my Mastercard and ended up having to close the account because of it. MBNA could not promise that their fraud people would even investigate due to the name of the company fraudulently being used by the withdrawal. So I just got a reminder from the fraudsters that they were not able to process my latest payment. It gets even better ... they listed a number of packages I could buy from them as the one that failed was going to become obsolete in 10 days. The nerve! But what can one expect on this stupid internOt.

After bridge we are going to Zihua Bay to speak with Rebe and deliver some 8½ x 11 posters in stand-up plastic frames about the gig on Thursday.

While out we will go to Orlando's, our upholsterer, to get a plastic end piece for one of our blinds that has fallen off. Dominique spoke with him when he was here this week about maybe getting a set of ha;f blinds on the L/R to protect against most of the UV rays that penetrate the existing ones. We will discuss more with him in the fall.

My prep for Thursday proceeds ... later today I will put up the apparatus I will be using and get a feel of the best way to hold the mic in the stand for my comfort. Do I have the book coming on from the right or the left? That is the biggest setup item to investigate. There well be the mic stand, my music stand, and the amp around me as I perform. We will ascertain tomorrow evening when we go there as to how much real estate the musician gets for equipment.
