Under the weather

I have not been feeling 100% over the past three days. A bit of a tickle in my throat, plugged nose sometimes, and a bit of a cough. Something has been going around. Patsy and Bernie as well as Lynn and Ranae have had similar experiences recently. I am taking Tylenol a few times a day, Like always, this has thrown a monkey wrench into our schedule but what can you do 😔. Something like this happened two years ago and it turned out to be COVID for the two of us. I/we may test tomorrow or Thursday.

My guitar is supposed to be ready some time today. Dominique will not attend a meeting this morning with the notary that she was looking forward to. Based on my fluey symptoms it would be best for us to hang low for a few more days.

Ranae came down to hand Dominique a paper with the questions she had for the notary, at the meeting she missed, with answers written for each. She ended up having a long tĂȘtĂȘ-Ă -tĂȘtĂȘ with Lynn by phone. I had a few WhatsApps with Irving at the guitar store after he told me the ax was ready. The last message I sent him I told him Dominique would be there in 20 minutes and he was OK with that. She cabbed there and he was closed. Oh my. I asked him to let us know when he opens up tomorrow and she will pop down.

I played bridge again tonight and another disaster. I sent a message to Rebe at Zihua Bay and mentioned that if I am unable to play this week, I would like to do Monday and Thursday next week. He is OK with that. I will keep him up to date as the week progresses.

We canceled the planned dinner out tonight with Ranae, Lynn, Chuck, and Marilyn. In a way we were both relieved as we have eaten out a way more that usual as of late. Tomorrow is the cleaning of the condo with the lady expected about 11:30.

Hoping I can play at Zihua Bay this Thursday, I worked away some more on lots of new material. Knowing what I now know about the crowd there, her are some of the newbies:

Ooh what a lucky man

As so eloquently put by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in their 1970s song. I have been lucky so many times in my 74+ years on this planet. Melt the seal ... time is here

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture.
