Yet another Cinco de Mayo

I ordered one of those signs made from old license plates that says Gringo Mic. This will necessitate going to that locale again today. We are hoping to pick up my glasses today that I managed to screw up adjusting the nose piece. On a pair of rimless ... what was I thinking. We have had two games in a row into double digits. In the heyday of virtual bridge we were averaging around 65 tables a week, though crept into the late 80s for special games. This week is the second in a row of special games. Next week is a regular game week then the month ends on yet another special game.

Dominique is off to Lilly's for some foot treatment. I will meet her there and our Tuesday version of errands will commence. We will drop off the  updated bulletins at Zihua Bay then probably go to Cafécito before Cinco de Mayo.

The condominium's AGM approaches, a mere four weeks from this Saturday. Dominique is nervous about the goings on, based on past experiences with some disruptive and cranky behaviour at previous meetings.

Leyla Fernandez is on the Aussie Open schedule today, reportedly playing at 6pm my time. Should be interesting to see if TSN feels like supporting the Canadian players, something they do usually, except when they don't. The reported visit from the glass door person for the L/R is pending, our having been told he would show some time this week. 

Tried to find Leyla at 6pm and surprised (NOT) that the time has been pushed back supposedly to 7:30pm. I watched a bit of the Senators game and they are now ½ into the second period and up a goal. I am playing bridge at the MO club I have liked to play at before.

Ooh what a lucky man

As so eloquently put by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in their 1970s song. I have been lucky so many times in my 74+ years on this planet. Melt the seal ... time is here

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture.
