Dead cell phone
We could not power on Dominique's Mexican cell today. We tried a number of cords and A/C adapters and no luck. We decided to take it with us when we went walking today. We used the boardwalk that ends where the foot bride runs over the canal that takes one to the museum then a bit further to Playa Principal. We stopped at Zihua Bay to ask Rebe if he could recommend somewhere he knew of where we can get her cell looked at.
He turned us on to a store right beside Elektra on the main drag. We left the unit there for an hour and it cost us 680 pesos to get the battery replaced. That's about $55 CAD ... not a bad deal. We went to one of our favourite spots to kill some time ... Cuattro café. We split a dish of chilaquiles and carrot cake on the side. It was wonderful and we could not finish the dish we received in a bowl.
There was a nice crowd at Zihua Bay for my gig tonight. A few of the tables stayed there almost to the end. The music was well received tongith and I saw some tables boogying to the music. Big Yellow Taxi was my first number and I ended the night with Something Stupid by Nancy Sinatra and her Dad, whose name slips my kind.
We were both quite pleased that the cell phone was reparable. She has a meeting tomorrow at 1pm and then we are either going out at about 4:30pm for beverages and dinner at a place close to where we live. Any number of people from Lynn/Ranae (and one friend of theirs) as well as Nancy will/may join us for the festivities. Five days until Michael and Gail get here. Dominique has done a lot of rearranging of stuff to make their bedroom more accommodating. I am sure there will be final touches as the day of their arrival gets closer.
I/we spoke to some of the clients at Zihua Bay ... me to a couple from Wisconsin and then the two of us visited with a pair from Reno Nevada. How's Maggie today, you ask? Well Maggie, you've had quite a day!
