It's a Sam's sort of day

I have always wondered who the Sam is in Sam's Club. We do not have them in Canada. They are owned by Walmart here. I always get a kick out of companies that own their own plus another "competitor.". This was the case a while back for Best Buy and Futureshop in Canada. The people who claimed I will never shop at Best Buy, it's Futureshop for me were doing business with the same vendor. Here Walmart owns Sam's Club.

We left for Sam's about 11am and the walk was enjoyable as always. We decided the route that goes by Leon restaurant is shorter and less fumes to deal with. About $300 CAD later we headed back to nuestra casa. We did a whole lot of nothing for the balance of the day. We tried cooking the red snapper in the air fryer ... our first time as we usually fry. It turned out great, a total of 8-9 minutes in total.

Ooh what a lucky man

As so eloquently put by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in their 1970s song. I have been lucky so many times in my 74+ years on this planet. Melt the seal ... time is here

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture.
