Lazy day

For me, not Dominique. She headed upstairs to Ranae's about 8:30am for a trip to Bara de Potosi for a fair. This was girl's day out. The weather seemed quite pleasant until the landed in Bara. The sun was punishing and it became uncomfortably hot/humid as soon as they exited the taxi. In the meantime I ran the 8am bridge game. She remembered how long the drive was there once she was on the road. It's well past Playas Blanca, Larga, and Linda. It's on the point that one can see from Playa Blanca near the airport.

I was in the throws of a nap apparently not long before she returned. I thought I heard the noise of the front door opening and closing in one of my dreams. Indeed she was home before I awoke. She had a 90 minute or so siesta/sleep too. The sun at Bara wore her out.

I am going to try to play bridge this evening run online by a club that a club that services Oakville and Mississauga of all places. I do not have a steady partner to plop myself on the partnership desk and see what transpires. I have played there so far four times ... twice earning some beloved asterpoints and the other two were a disaster.

Ooh what a lucky man

As so eloquently put by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in their 1970s song. I have been lucky so many times in my 74+ years on this planet. Melt the seal ... time is here

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture.
