That title so aptly describes the signal here. It's standard behaviour for an internot provider ... push their "high-speed" offerings which turn out to be not much better than the 2400 baud modem we used 30+ years ago. These idiots arr making growing amounts of profit every year and we are all at the mercy of their cost-cutting and associated nonsense. They have our money so there is no need to deal with bandwidth.

Dominique is jamming with Ranae today on the process to be followed at the upcoming second shot at the 2024 AGM. The previous attempt was hijacked by the "other side" and this chat with Ranae will lead into a larger discussion tomorrow at 11:30am with a few others.

Son Ben and Crem are coming in two days. The flu he had is dissipating and she has not caught it from him. Ben was advised that the contagious period lasts 2-4 days which he is now well past. I will cab it to the airport for their 1:40pm arrival from Toronto with Air Canada. We are off to Soris this afternoon after Dominique's chat with Ranae.

Had a nice walk to Soris and it was not too busy there. Got some white wine for Crem and some more beer in case Ben is a beer guy. Off to Lynn and Ranae's for dinner and they also invited friends Blaine and Glynnis so it should be quite a shindig.

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture.
