Pizzas Locas

The fare at this pizzeria was great as was the company and the ambience. When we got there about three tables upstairs were in use and a mere handful down below. The place filled up by 7:15 and by the time we left, there was no table to be had in the joint. We walked home and were back here by 8pm or so. We watched some TV.

Dominique turns more and more into me each day. She has been falling asleep in front of the TV a few times in a row. I invented napping while in front of the TV. My approach when wanting to nod off in front of the TV is to pick a show whose partial episode I will have missed can be easlly zeroed in on and watched again. Shows where one episode runs into another with a continuing plot are not on that list.

A bit hazy again this morning. The balcony work at our building in Ottawa commences in earnest on Monday. I checked the weather outlook up to the day of our return and looks like we can easily get by without the living room heating/AC unit. Joe is heading over there today to take the balcony furniture back to his place to store until something like early June. We decided, if he was willing, we would rather pay him the same as we would have paid a commercial facility. All in all we have quite a bit of business for him as of late ...

  1. Clearing the balcony floor and putting a cover on the back of the heat pump unit
  2. Grabbing and storing the balcony furniture
  3. Picking us up at Dorval when we return from Zihua two weeks tomorrow
We miss having him living in Ottawa but can still rely on him for some work here and there and we always chuck in an extra $20 for gas.

Ooh what a lucky man

As so eloquently put by Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in their 1970s song. I have been lucky so many times in my 74+ years on this planet. Melt the seal ... time is here

Oh my ... how time flies. It seems like only yesterday that it was Wednesday. The place looks like someone is leaving in a few days. The mattress in bedroom #2 has been tood up with the mattress cover side pointing out. The first two kitchen chairs are parked on the cement couch in the L/R. Dominique will ask Paty to drop in after the bridge game Saturday so we can discuss the idiosyncrasies of looking after our place until our return. Doing the extended walk to the end of the canal path past Soris. We will pick up some shredded pork to make sandwiches for the flight(s) on Sunday. We are so close to the end of the line as far as getting the place ready. Other than the Fire TV sticks, the balance of the work involves moving stuff around and covering furniture. These will happen as late as possible on Saturday evening. Chicken for dinner tonight then the last two nights we will eat out.
