Ranae -1

Life without Ranae (and Lynn). They headed out by cab yesterday about 11:30am with a "teary goodbye." The weather here lately has been very odd for this time of year. With temperatures in the teens ... oh my! The locals are as confused as we are. Usually by this time in March, things are heating up and the humdidity is rising. I used the blankets all night. Usually, if anything, I just use the top sheet.

Another coolish day, but not like yesterday. Walk probably later today. We have plans to meet Wanda and John at Miramar tomorrow around five. We have not seen much of them since their return from Kamloops a few weeks ago.

Doing all the bridge games from today through Saturday April 6 since Colin and Clare are off to Virginia to golf. We do a lot of covering for one another which works out well. Monday June 17 I have a game at 9am eastern. We will be in Comox BC that day so the game is at 6am there. Having just arrived from Calgary on the Sunday quite late, I will probably get Colin or a frequent stand-in named Cathy to do the game. We shall see.

We picked up a business card in front of Pizas Locas in centro, planning to make a resrvation for tomorrow at 6:15 for Wanda, John, and the two of us. We called when we knew they were open, about 2:15, and the number is out of order. I checked on the internot and found another number. We called and successfully reserved a spot on the outside upstairs. It should be interesting to see what happens when we get there. When we asked about the upstairs the last time we were there, we were told it is always completely booked by reservations. It should be interesting to see if our reservation qualifies for inclusion in this enhanced experience on the roof.
